- Have your vehicle’s transmission fluid / filter changed regularly
- Consider having an auxiliary cooler installed ( $125.00 most vehicles)
- Check the level and condition of your transmission fluid regularly
- Check the ground for leaks
- Check for obstructions around the radiator and air ducts
- Check your car’s belts and hoses
- When stopped in traffic, shift into neutral ( Auto Trans)
